Native means AbstractMethod
The module extends Magento's AbstractMethod — the standard payment interface — so quote capture, authorization and refunds all flow through the machinery Magento already has. Practically, that means: it appears in Stores → Configuration → Sales → Payment Methods like any other method, order state transitions ride the normal pipeline, and your existing order-management tooling (and your team's habits) don't change. It's OSL-3.0 licensed and works on Magento 2.4.6+, Open Source and Commerce editions.
The install, end to end
- 1. Install the module —
composer require orbchain/magento, or unzip intoapp/code/OrbChain/Payments/if your deployment prefers ZIPs. - 2. Enable it —
bin/magento module:enable OrbChain_Payments && bin/magento setup:upgrade. - 3. Create an API key — in the OrbChain dashboard, mint a scoped key for the store:
payment:create+payment:readis all a storefront needs. - 4. Configure — paste the key and webhook secret under Payment Methods → OrbChain, save, and the method is live at checkout.
Signup to live is realistically under half an hour, most of it Magento's own cache warms. No KYB queue is the difference: you test with real money on day one.
Webhooks and refunds, the two things that matter after launch
Webhooks: order status is driven by OrbChain's signed events — HMAC-SHA512 verified via the PHP SDK, with event_id dedup at the order level, so a retried webhook can never double-progress an order. Customer pays → order moves to processing on confirmation, complete on settlement, automatically.
Refunds: issued from the standard Credit Memo screen, exactly where your team already does refunds. The module captures the payer's destination at the confirmation webhook and routes the refund through the refund API — full or partial, with the cumulative cap enforced platform-side.
What the store accepts
Whatever your OrbChain account accepts — BTC, ETH, stablecoins on every major rail, Solana, TON, 25+ coins — with the coin picker on the hosted payment page, so your Magento theme never needs per-coin logic. Pair with Auto Settle and the whole catalog of coins lands in your books as USDT. Flat 0.4%, no monthly fee, which for an enterprise store's volume is usually the line item that gets this module approved.
