Merchant ops
from a chat window.

The dashboard is where you configure a gateway; it's not where you live. The question you actually have forty times a week — "did that payment land?" — deserves an answer in the app already open on your phone. OrbChain's Telegram surface has two layers: a bot for glancing, and a Mini App for doing. Together they cover a working day where the laptop never opens.

Layer one: the bot, for glancing

Link your account once — /link with your merchant API key, from the account you want notified — and the bot becomes your gateway's presence in Telegram: /balance returns per-coin balances as a message, /payments the recent payment feed. It's deliberately read-only: the chat layer answers questions, it doesn't move money. /unlink severs it instantly, and the binding is one chat ↔ one account, so a lost phone session is one revocation away from harmless.

Layer two: the Mini App, for doing

The Mini App is the real dashboard-in-your-pocket, opened inside Telegram with no separate login — it authenticates via Telegram's signed initData handshake and issues its own short-lived session, so there's no password to type on a phone keyboard. From it you can:

  • Watch money: balances, live prices, the payment feed with statuses.
  • Receive: pull up any coin's deposit address with QR — including generating a Lightning invoice on the spot. Standing at an event selling something? This is a point-of-sale in your pocket (for a counter setup, the hosted POS is the bigger-screen sibling).
  • Move: send payouts and run balance swaps — both gated by a fresh TOTP code per action, the same step-up the API enforces. Approving a partner's payout from a taxi is genuinely fine, because the second factor travels with you, not with the device.
  • Secure: even 2FA enrollment itself works from the Mini App, so "set up TOTP" stops waiting for a desk.

Why this is more than convenience

The security posture is the underrated part. Session lifetimes in the Mini App are short and re-minted per open; money movement demands TOTP every time; and the bot's read-only design means the most exposed surface (a chat that might sit open on a tablet somewhere) is also the least powerful. Compare that with staying logged into a full dashboard on a shared machine, and phone-first ops comes out ahead, not behind.

It also closes a neat loop with TON acceptance: your Telegram-native buyers pay from Telegram's wallet, your payment notification arrives in Telegram, and you check, swap or pay out from the Mini App — an entire commercial relationship that never leaves one app.

Setup, in the time it takes to read this

Open the bot, /link with an API key, and tap the Mini App button. Everything mirrors the account you already have — same balances, same history, same rules. The full tour is on the Telegram feature page.
